Matching a puppy to their new home is an extensive process that includes understanding the new owners lifestyle and the personality of the puppy. Although we would like to provide puppies for every home that we encounter, that is simply not possible. Sometimes perspective owners want a puppy that isn't a good fit for them. Catawba Cotons will always be honest and choose whats best for our pups and out perspective homes. If a family is declined, for any reason, we will immediately let them know why and try to help in any way we can. Even if it means helping find another breeder with better suited puppies. Whether with us, or with another breeder, we want people to experience the joy of owning a Coton, because they really are the best little dogs in the world. From start to finish, I was impressed by Jami Johnson’s professionalism, true commitment to the breed, and the meticulous discretion she uses when placing her puppies. We have had two other Cotons over the years, and this has been the best experience of them all. Our little Orville, only eight weeks old when we got him, is already so well behaved and mild mannered. He didn’t have one accident in the house within the first twenty four hours of bringing him home! He has slept soundly in our bed each night from the first one! Very quickly, he assimilated to our home and has become a valued family member. Jami assured me that her breeding results in puppies with outstanding behavioral characteristics. I can already attest to that! This is likely to be our easiest dog ever, based on what we are experiencing. It seems too good to be true, yet we have gotten a pet that is exceeding all of our expectations!

Catawba Cotons First in Flight!!
George
A prince among puppies, that was our George! Bright and funny, George was always sneaking around looking for more kibble. Despite being smaller than his sisters, he was always the first one to the bowl and the last one to leave! We have no doubt that George was always eating because he burned so much energy wagging that little tail! No matter what time it was, George was ready to play. Kids, other dogs, or just bothering his siblings, George was always Mr. Congeniality. He wasn't just the only boy in this litter, he was a prince for sure! His momma mustve known how special he was, because she when she flew in she came with all kinds of goodies. We knew our little boy was lucky to have a home that would appreciate his special brand of 'Southern Hospitality'

Charlie
Our little Charlie was the exact opposite of her sister. Whereas Ella was ready to take a bite out of the world, Charlie seemed so much more serene and contemplative. But it never took long before she bumbled off with her siblings. She was the perfect little girl for a family with lots of love and laughter to give, and that's exactly who found her! Her mom and dad came in far from the north with a puppy carrier filled with hugs, snuggles and plenty of treats. Of course our girl was the bestest good girl on the plane ride home. We were so proud when her family said she dropped the shy act with them, and became the boisterous happy puppy that Cotons are known for. We wish her mom, dad, and big sis all the kisses and snoot-boops Charlie can give!
